Founded by couple Claire and Alvin with brother Peter, Tóng-Cháo is a fashion brand dedicated to cool kids aged 0-10 and chic parents. We love knitwear and especially luxury woolens...we say you're never too young for cashmere!
The story began with Claire and
Alvin's first child, Cayden. Buying
quality clothing for children was never easy and we quickly found what the
market needed. Before a trip to Europe, designer Claire decided to custom
order a knitted cashmere sweater from her factory and it was this particular
piece of clothing that started it all. It received so many compliments
from family and friends in 2010 that we decided to keep going!
And
most importantly, all are made with top quality materials that caress little
ones’ skin.
ClaireClaire has been in the garment industry for over 14 years and has worked with top designer labels such as Sonia Rykiel, Christian Lacroix, Luca Luca, Irie, Balmain, Catherine Maladrino, Temperley London and Collette Dinnigan just to name a few. She is the co-founder and creative director behind Tóng-Cháo. All this translated itself into Claire's unique design perspective for children's clothing.
Alvin
Co-founder and Sales/Marketing
Director of Tóng-Cháo, Alvin has owned and operated an FMCG company in Hong
Kong and Shanghai for the past decade. Thanks to this strong foundation
in sales and marketing, Alvin is able to guide and direct Tóng Cháo to its full
advantage. He is also in charge of the online boutique, product
photography and brand image for Tóng-Cháo.
Peter
After graduating from New Zealand,
Peter has focused on knitwear production at his facilities in China.
Through his sensibility and expertise in garments, he controls new
product design development, merchandising and quality control of our products.
Peter is also a co-founder and production director.
